🌺 Thai Orchid Has Landed at Metro North Crossing
Authentic Thai flavors, now part of the growing Metro North Crossing dining scene
By: NATALIE BOWER/ 12 February 2026
A new place to eat, celebrate, and make memories has officially opened its doors at Metro North Crossing, and I am so excited for our neighborhood.
Thai Orchid is the newest Thai restaurant to join our local food scene in the Northland, and it brings serious flavor from the very first bite. They’re an established, family‑owned business known for authentic dishes and bold, fresh tastes. What started in Mission, Kansas back in 1991 has now expanded right here with a beautiful location in Metro North Crossing.

This is a family story.
Jonathan Rojjanasrirat is the second‑generation owner of Thai Orchid, carrying forward a legacy that began more than 30 years ago. His family bought the original restaurant in 1998, and he grew up right there in the kitchen - learning, tasting, and building something special.
Today, Jonathan leads day‑to‑day operations and played a big role in designing the new Northland space, creating a modern, welcoming vibe that reflects both tradition and growth.
His wife, Nuttaphat Stonnisgul, is equally involved and has helped shape the menu itself. Her deep connection to authentic Thai flavors brings something real and rooted to every dish, something longtime fans of Thai Orchid will recognize and love.
The vibe. The food. The flavor.
Walking in feels warm and inviting, with a clean, stylish interior that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. Whether you’re grabbing lunch, planning a date night, or meeting up with friends, this is the kind of spot that delivers both great food and great conversation.
The menu brings both beloved classics and creative twists. Think:
- Pad Thai
- Massaman and Panang curries
- Fresh salads and soups with lemongrass and coconut
- Thai spring rolls ...and more.
They also offer vegetarian and gluten‑friendly options, so there’s something for every palate.
Oh — and the drinks? Let me just say this...
You have to try the Thai Heat Margarita. It's refreshing, spicy, vibrant, and pairs beautifully with Thai spices. It’s my personal favorite, and it’s reason enough to go, honestly. 🍹

Looking for a fun new dinner idea for Valentine’s Day or your next night out? This could absolutely be your place. It’s intimate enough for a special evening and exciting enough for a casual hangout.
If you haven’t checked them out yet, go say hello, support this amazing local family, and grab something delicious. I can’t wait to hear what you order first.
